Our cat, Missy, liked to hang out in my studio, where she was usually an absolute terror, biting my toes, knocking over mics, and meowing at the tail end of otherwise perfect takes. But as I recorded this tune, she slept nicely at my feet. Missy passed away in 2011 after losing a fight with cancer. I played this tune for her the night she died, giving a new meaning to the title. She is missed.
